Ukwazi School Of Nursing Application 2026/2027

    Ukwazi School Of Nursing QUALIFICATIONS

The old (legacy) auxiliary nurse and enrolled nurse qualifications have been phased out by the SOUTH AFRICAN NURSING COUNCIL.

The following new nursing qualifications are being phased in

    • the HIGHER CERTIFICATE in AUXILIARY NURSING to commence in January 2026 – a 1 year programme; and
    • the DIPLOMA IN NURSING: STAFF NURSE (GENERAL NURSE) to commence in January 2026 – a 3 year programme.

UKWAZI SCHOOL OF NURSING has already been accredited by the COUNCIL ON HIGHER EDUCATION for both new qualifications and it is also registered by the SOUTH AFRICAN QUALIFICATIONS AUTHORITY for these qualifications. The SCHOOL has also been inspected by the SOUTH AFRICAN NURSING COUNCIL for the new qualifications (the first in the country), but the accreditation process must still be finalised.

Our sister company (UKWAZI SKILLS CAMPUS PTY LTD) offers a programme for the training of health care assistants which is accredited by the HEALTH & WELFARE SETA (it is not regulated by the SOUTH AFRICAN NURSING COUNCIL).  This programme will aid prospective nursing students who  do not have LIFE SCIENCES as a subject on their National Senior Certificate (or whose mark in Life Sciences is too low) in applying for admission to the new nursing qualifications as it includes foundational Anatomy and Physiology.  The course will still equip students with the required skills and competencies to find employment in the health care industry.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION:  APPLICATION FORM

The School will conclude admission procdures for the first intake of students for the January 2026 intake of the Higher Cerificate in Auxiliary Nursing in June 2026 (provided all accreditation and registration processes are concluded by then).  It will finalise admission for the June 2026 intake in November 2026.  Students wishing to have their details recorded on a waiting list are invited to complete the prescribed form and to contact the School in that regard.

Details for the 2026 intakes of the Diploma in Nursing will be finalised later.  However, students intending to apply for admission can request the School to record their names on a waiting list so long.

An Information Brochure which explains the dates of all intakes; fees payable; course content; etc will be available from our offices in due course.  It will be available by fax; email; or personal collection.  You are invited to contact your campus of choice – Roodepoort or Potchefstroom (see tabs at the top of this page) for further information in this regard.

Infinity Culinary Training (ICT) trains needy women and men for entry-level jobs in the professional kitchen.

The first requirement for success is 100% dedication to learning, growing and facing the challenges that come with changing one’s life for the better. Being an ICT student will demand your full time and energy, passion and commitment. Nothing less will do.

Once you are in the working world, there are long hours and hot kitchens. You must be able to work nights, weekends and public holidays. The professional kitchen is not for everyone. The question you must seriously ask yourself before applying to ICT is, “Might it be for me?”

Please read this entire page and think about each point before making your application. We welcome your interest in Infinity Culinary Training and wish you only the best in your life.

Important Information – Please Read Thoroughly Before Making Application

    • IMG_0874In an effort to promote international unity and tolerance within South Africa, ICT may accept a maximum of two non-South African citizens per class session. Everyone accepted to Infinity Culinary Training must undergo a criminal record check upon acceptance.  Any inconsistencies discovered in your background check versus the information you have provided on the application will be grounds for immediate dismissal from the school.  Having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify you from being admitted to the school.  Each person will be considered on an individual, case-by-case basis.  We encourage you to apply even if you have a criminal record.
    • Tuition is free. All qualified students are given full bursaries.
    • ICT receives an average of 100 applications for each class session.

    • Please note that our school is ONLY in Cape Town and that we do not provide accommodation nor any financial assistance while you are attending our school.
