ABOUT THE COMPANY – CIPLA

Cipla Medpro, one of the top pharmaceutical companies in South Africa, is responsible for the production of top class mediation at affordable prices. Owned by Cipla India, Cipla Medpro is one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the country according to their volume and value.

They were the first company in Africa to launch a triple combination ARV medication, this was globally recognised and they have managed to treat millions of patients since 2001. Cipla Medpro provides patients with a range of over the counter (OTC) and scheduled prescription medication for a range of illnesses and diseases.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Cipla will be awarding bursaries to those studying towards one of the following qualifications:

  • Accounting (BCom)
  • Finance (BCom)
  • Logistic Management (BCom)
  • Chemical Engineering (BSc)
  • Electrical Engineering (BSc)
  • Industrial Engineering (BSc)
  • Mechanical Engineering (BSc)
  • Microbiology (BSc/ BTech)
  • Chemistry (BSc/ BTech)
  • Biochemistry (BSc/ BTech)
  • Production, Regulatory, Quality (B Pharmacy)

Successful candidates will be contacted by 15 January 2024 at the latest – should you not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Between 16 and 25 years old
  • Studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study (1st/ 2nd or 3rd year of study)
  • Registered at a recognised and accredited tertiary institute in South Africa
  • Passed all modules/ subjects in previous semester or year of study
  • Achieved a minimum average of 70% for current studies
  • From a group defined by BBBEE criteria
  • NOT in receipt of any other bursary funding
