It was a tough day, but at the end of the semi-final rounds Nozipho Gumbi has emerged as a finalist in the 2016 FameLab international competition currently underway at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK.
Nozipho is based at the University of South Africa, where she is exploring the water filtration properties of carbon-nanotubes. Tonight (9 June 2016) at 21:30 SA time, she will take the stage along with representatives from Italy, Greece, Poland, the USA, the UK, Malaysia, Australia, Spain, Cyprus, Qatar and Egypt. She will have just 3 minutes to tell the audience and the judges about how her science is changing the world.
