- Paper / Academic selection: Selection is done on the academic achievement of Gr 11 or Gr 12 marks and the best candidates are selected. Average performance is also taken into account.

- If a programme has reached capacity, applicants will receive a message that the application period has expired
- A-candidates (applicants with 5 and more A symbols) can complete the PDF application form and email it to applicationsug@nwu.ac.za.
- Only applications by A-candidates sent to the specified email address will be considered. Applications received via post will not be considered.
- The closing date for non-selection programmes with available capacity is 30 September.
