Short Course in Mentoring, Guidance and Support of Teachers and Trainers (71013)Purpose
This mentoring course will provide practitioners with the necessary skills and expertise to give guidance and support to learners and to refer learners to appropriate counselling or development agencies.
Target group
- Any person involved in providing mentoring, guidance and support to
protégés/learners in education and training settings or in the workplace;
- Senior. teachers who act as mentors for learnership student teachers;
- Teachers in the new career path leading to senior teacher and learning area specialist positions where they have to mentor, guide and support
beginning teachers, student teachers, learnership teachers and their peers; and
- Departmental officials who mentor, guide and support teachers on .a daily basis.
Admission requirements
Senior Certificate or an equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
