How to Register for the 2024 academic year

Registration is the process of enrolling for your academic programme at Wits.

All successful applicants and returning students are required to register with the University before beginning their studies.

New first year student, 2024 academic year.
Online Registration
- Online registration for first-time first year students opens on 7 January 2024 and closes on 11 January 2024

On-campus Registration
For students who have special curriculum requirements or who are unable to register online, or, the Faculty of Health Sciences is available for registration on campus as follows:
- First year undergraduate students on 11 January 2024 from 08h00 to 14h00 on Braamfontein West Campus.

Please note that these dates are the last dates for registration, both online and assisted registration, and failure to register by these times may result in the withdrawal of the offer of a place. The University cannot guarantee a position for students who do not register on time. For queries, please contact your faculty office.
Additional information
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) is compulsory for selected programmes. Details of HPCSA registration will be sent to applicants who are accepted into these programmes.
