Union Bible Institute Admission Requirements

The Higher Certificate in Theology is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time programme at NQF level 5 accredited by the Council on Higher Education. It provides foundational theological and ministry training for church workers, introductory ministry skills for community workers, and basic grounding for further tertiary level theological studies.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSA National Senior Certificate or equivalent.

Ten percent may be admitted based on recognition of prior learning.

The Diploma in Theology is a three-year full-time programme at NQF level 6 accredited by the Council on Higher Education. UBI’s Diploma in Theology programme equips learners with the knowledge, ministry skills, and attitudes that enable them to lead churches and other organizations with excellence.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a minimum of 40% in four subjects from the designated subject list of NSC subjects, or equivalent. Ten percent may be admitted based on recognition of prior learning.

Bachelor of Theology

The Bachelor of Theology is a three-year full-time programme at NQF level 7 accredited by the Council on Higher Education. UBI’s Bachelor of Theology programme equips learners with the knowledge, ministry skills, and attitudes that enable them to lead churches and other organizations with excellence, and prepares them for further theological study.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a minimum of 50% in four subjects from the designated subject list of NSC subjects, or equivalent. Ten percent may be admitted based on recognition of prior learning.
