    UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS

    The admission cycle opens in March-April and closes on 30 September. Late applications are not accepted

    If you live in, or have completed schooling in South Africa, or are applying for admission to a programme in the Faculty of Health Sciences, you must write the National Benchmark Tests (NBTs).

    You must register for the NBTs before you apply to UCT. NBT results obtained in 2016, 2017 or 2026, , are valid for 2026 admissions. For admission to UCT, you must have written the NBTs by 13 October 2026. For further information or to register, visit NBT.

    The last date for undergraduate programme changes is 31 October 2026. These requests must be submitted to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za.

    Applicants who need financial assistance must submit their applications on the NSFAS online application system. Applications close on 30 November, Applications must be completed at http://nsfas.org.za/content/howtoapply.html.

    POSTGRADUATE APPLICANTS

    Postgraduate programmes containing coursework mostly close on 31 October, with the exception of a few programmes and faculties which start to close from May onward. Please refer to the 2026 Directions for Postgraduate Applicants for the relevant closing dates.

    Applications for research-only postgraduate programmes do not close. Please select the year in which you wish to start your programme when applying.

    SEMESTER STUDY ABROAD (SSA) APPLICANTS

    The SSA programme is offered to international students currently registered at their home university and who wish to undertake a semester at UCT. Upon completion of the semester abroad, the credits can be transferred to their programme at their home university. SSA credits do not count toward a UCT qualification.

    How To Apply

    You may apply online. In order to apply online, you will need a working email address and your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number.

    If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application by printing the forms from the links below, and sending them to the Admissions Office at the address indicated on the right.

    UWC Application and Acceptance Process

    You have chosen to study at UWC, now it is time to apply. We have made applying to university very simple; just follow these few simple steps below:

    When should I apply?

    Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible in the application cycle. You can find UWC’s online application form here.

    South Africans learners wishing to apply online will need a working email address and an ID number. Foreign learners wishing to apply will need to have their passport number.

    Application Fees:

    Applicants are required to pay an application fee of R100.00, and thereafter late application fee will be R150.00.

    Application fee may be paid using the following methods:

    • Cash, Debit Card, Credit Card, Cheque at UWC’s Cashiers on the on the ground floor of the Student Administration, West Wing building.
    • Direct Deposit at ASBA Bank
    • Electronic Funds Tranfer (EFT) from your bank
    • Credit Card Payment will be accepted – online at www.uwc.ac.za

    Submitting of Results and Documents:

    School learners must ensure that all examination results from Grade 11 until September of Grade 12 are submitted. Failure to do such may result in delays within the student’s application process. You might find that you applied early in Grade 12 and thus only sent in your final Grade 11 results. If this is true, as the year progresses and you receive more results keep sending them through to UWC, that way they will have all your results by the time finals come around.

    Transferring students should too ensure that all transcripts and academic records are submitted as early as possible as well as that a final transcript of current studies being undertaken reaches the Admissions Office as soon as possible after receipt.

    Once you have applied, keep a look out for your acceptance and/or provisional acceptance letter. You are encouraged to monitor your application status at all times. Applicants may call the Call Centre to enquire about their application status: +27 21 959 3900 or +27 21 959 3901

    University of Pretoria (UP) encourage prospective students (Undergraduate) to apply online or with application form (Hard-Copy) as early as possible for 2026 academic year. UP applications opened on 1 March 2016 of the year preceding the year of study.

    Online Application

    The Online Application System is intended for use by new prospective students submitting an application to UP for the first time. It is not intended for students presently registered at the University of Pretoria.

    To use the Online Application System you will need the following:

    • internet access
    • an email address which you can access regularly, because as soon as you submit your online application, a student number (EMPLID) will be sent to this email address as confirmation of receipt.

    Prospective students may download and complete a hard copy application form. Once you have completed it and attached proof of payment of R300 to it (no cash please), please mail it to:

    Please note: Each application form has a unique number which is printed under the barcode on page one. This number is repeated on each subsequent uneven page number. It is therefore imperative that you do not mix pages with different numbers or application forms. For this reason the University will only accept original application forms.  Faxed, scanned or e-mailed application forms will not be accepted.

    Application Fee Waived:

    • Application fees are waived for students who apply for studies at the University of Pretoria if your household income is lower than or equal to R150 000 per annum.
    • Online applicants must upload proof of income in STEP 12 of the online application process. This will serve as proof of payment, to allow you to verify and apply your form. These documents will be verified. 

    Application Fee:When you submit your study application, you will need to pay an application fee of R300 (30 US Dollars) for 2026.

    • If your household income is more than R150 000 per annum please make use of the following payment options:
      • Online credit card payment as part of this application submission, i.e. by paying with a valid credit card with sufficient funds and by entering the correct details.
      • Note that the online application system can only process payments that reference valid credit card (Master, Visa, American Express or Diners Club) information, with sufficient funds.

    Acceptance of admission

    • You did not receive a confirmation letter.
    • Your status indicates “awaiting results” despite the fact that you have already submitted your results as requested on your application form.

    Tshwane South College has three Campuses namely Atteridgeville Campus, Centurion Campus and Pretoria West Campus

    Tshwane South College for Further Education and Training (TSC) is a registered public Further Education and Training institution in terms of the Further Education and Training Act 98 of 1998.
